After I review your application, I'll reach out via text or email to schedule our phone consultation. During that call, I'll gather a little more information about you and your dog, answer any questions you have, and together we'll decide on the best course of action for you and your dog.
Yes! Every training journey begins with a complimentary phone consultation after you complete the training application. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your goals, answer your questions, and determine the best plan for you and your dog.
If you choose a package that includes virtual coaching, we can begin as soon as your
$50 deposit is received. If you'd rather start with in-person sessions, we'll get your first appointment scheduled as quickly as possible based on both of our schedules.
Most training sessions take place in your home, where your dog is most comfortable
and where real-life behavior happens. If I believe another location would better serve your dog's needs, we'll discuss that together.
Virtual coaching is one of my favorite tools because it allows us to make progress both before and after your in-person sessions.
Before your session: We'll communicate through WhatsApp, where I'll send you short training exercises (typically 30 seconds or less). You'll record yourself working with
your dog, send me the videos, and I'll provide immediate coaching and feedback.
This allows me to evaluate your dog's behavior and begin building foundational skills before we even meet.
After your session: You'll receive a customized PDF training program written
specifically for your dog, along with two weeks of continued coaching through
WhatsApp to help you stay on track and work through any questions that come up.
This level of support often becomes a real game changer for both dogs
and their people.
100%—RUN...DON'T WALK to my Let's Get Started page and submit your
application! It's normal to be stressed out with a new puppy, and the earlier we get started the better. You are not alone, I promise you!
Puppies…am I right?? 😂
Absolutely!
Choosing a dog that's a good fit for your family, lifestyle, and expectations is one of
the biggest factors in long-term success.
Dogs are often unable to show their true personalities while in a shelter, so preparing ahead of time can make all the difference. I'll help you understand what to expect
during those first critical days and weeks so you can start building a strong foundation from Day One.
For most dogs, I recommend having:
-
Standard 6-foot leash
-
Flat collar or martingale collar
-
Back-clip harness (if preferred)
-
Long line (30 feet or longer)
-
Kong
-
Toys your dog loves
-
Several different types of treats (I'll recommend some favorites!)
For puppies, you'll also want:
-
Lightweight house leash (such as a cat leash)
-
Plenty of appropriate chew toys
-
Possibly a pair of bite gloves (seriously! 😂)
After we talk, I'll let you know if I recommend any additional equipment based on
your dog's individual needs.
I'm a fear-free trainer.
But that doesn't mean your dog gets to do whatever they want.
Being force-free doesn't mean it's a "free-for-all." We absolutely teach manners, boundaries, impulse control, and appropriate behavior—without relying on fear or intimidation.
Every dog—and every family—is different, so there's no one-size-fits-all answer.
Some dogs only need one session. Others benefit from additional coaching over time.
Once I get to know you, your dog, and your goals, I'll recommend only what I truly
believe you need—never more.
I offer several packages so you can choose the option that best fits your goals and budget.
Individual sessions start at $150.
For detailed package information and pricing, visit the Puppies and Dogs pages
on the website.

Helping dogs stay in their forever homes is one of my greatest passions, and I'm
happy to offer these savings.
Every session is tailored to you and your dog, so I don't watch the clock. Most sessions last around 90 minutes.
Never!
Older dogs are absolutely capable of learning new behaviors. While the approach
may look a little different than it does with a puppy, meaningful change is possible at any age.
I'm a firm believer in “Old Dog, New Tricks”--and I love my seniors!
